Accessibility of Applications

Low level of accessibility of applications creates large and small businesses in Israel and other countries various lawsuits. The plaintiffs demanded repair and financial relief for the damages caused to them due to the use of an inaccessible app and the owners of the app were even forced to repair the issue to the point of developing a new, more accessible and convenient app not to mention monetary compensations.

An application is basically designed and developed for all people, no matter what their geographical location, language, ability or origin is. Only when an application meets these requirements can it be identified as accessible to people with different cognitive abilities such as sight, hearing, and mobility impairments. The effects of disability on applications can be very advantageous because they make the interaction, communication and use easier and possible for disabilities people face in their day to day lives. However, when applications and their tools are poorly designed, they can create barriers that exclude them from using the applications.

WEB-A deals with all such complexities and provides seamless solutions for application accessibility. We work by making the accessibility adjustments in the app before the development and even during and after. While developing a new app, it is much easier to customize the menus and content than is already available in an existing app.

Our goal is to allow users, especially the physically challenged ones, to see or hear the content and use the services of an application in an accessible way to them depending on their impairment.

4 Stages to taking care of the website accessibility

1

Checking the website accessibility following country regulation.

We start by first verifying the laws and regulations of each client’s country are in regulation. Then we make a complete website check of the WCAG guidelines. We consider your organization services, size and resources, the nature of your business and the impact accessibility would have on your organization.

2

Fixing The Unsuitable Accessibility That We Found On The Website

After checking all the regulations and requirements, we move to fix the unsuitable issues and bugs on your website that may hinder our workflow or affect the process.

3

Making an additional check With Assistive Technologies

In the third stage, we make use of Assistive technology (AT) is any device, software, or equipment used to maintain or enhance the functional capabilities of people with disabilities. Common tools include an alternative keyboard or mouse, screen magnifier, screen reader, and voice recognition software.

4

Writing a full and detailed accessibility declaration

After we have resolved all the issues and bugs and fulfilled all your requirements by regulations, we then write an accessibility declaration statement with your internal organizational policies, your accessibility goals, and your commitment to providing a fully accessible website to serve and work with people who have disabilities.
